Labs & Activities
Each lesson has an integrated lab activity to generate cognitive learning and make kids think. We can customize your lesson and activity to match your student's current curriculum or tailor it to a more general topic.
Science Themed
These labs offer an opportunity for children to develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. We can even customize a lesson on Marine Science or Animal Sciences!

*SUDS It Up With Surfactants! (focused on surface tension and properties of water)
*EDIBLE DNA (students create 3-dimensional DNA structures as they learn about genes)
*EGYPTIAN EXPERIMENTATION EXPERTS-MUMMIFICATION! (students focus on controls and variables, observation, solutes vs solvents and solutions, among other topics as they set up and carry out their mummification labs)
*EGYPTIAN PAPYRUS PRODUCERS! (learn about recycling resources to create something new all while changing the physical states of matter)
* BEACH IN A PAN (students create 3D beaches to learn about erosion, waves, and the importance of mangroves)
Technology Themed
These labs provide an opportunity for children to develop their digital literacy skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity in a safe and supportive environment. Students learn by doing!

*BLOWN AWAY BALLOON CARS (students learn about Newton's Laws of Motion and kinetic and potential energy while constructing their race cars to race against other teams)
*ROCKIN' ROBOTS (students have the opportunity to create robots as they visit different stations featuring various types of robotic technology)
*CIRCUIT CONDUCTORS (students learn about electrical circuits while they create working circuitry)
Engineering Themed
These labs offer hands-on experiences with a collaborative environment to encourage learning and innovation where students have the chance to share their ideas and be heard.

​*STRAW COASTER MANIA (dedicated to learning about physics, types of energy, and transformational energy along with designing and creating a roller coaster)
*WALL MARBLE RUN (geared towards the more primary learners, this is a modified Straw Coaster Mania lesson)
*ANCIENT EGYPT- PROJECT PYRAMID (students dive into ancient Egypt and work collaboratively to build their pyramids)
*ANCIENT EGYPT- TEETERING SHADUFS (students learn about how ancient Egyptians used engineering to transport water from the Nile to their irrigation canals as they create working products together)
*WHEELIN' AROUND! (Students transform ordinary recyclable materials into working forms of transportation while learning about recycling and forms of energy)
*WATERWHEEL WONDERS (students investigate the transformation in energy and forms of renewable energy as they work collaboratively to construct working water wheels from recyclable materials)
Math Themed
These lessons and labs often feature specialized equipment and tools, as well as materials for conducting experiments and solving problems. We incorporate math into our labs and lessons whenever possible.

Art & Reading
Each of our labs and activities is infused with art and reading. We strongly believe that children flourish when they are able to express their creativity freely. Engaging children in activities they are truly interested in is crucial for unlocking their full learning potential. Additionally, incorporating reading into the mix enhances their experience with Mobile STEM Academy.
